The TruePrivacy consent banner is the visitor-facing surface of your consent program. Every aspect — layout, placement, colors, copy, language, and legal behavior — is configured in the dashboard and applied instantly, with no code changes.

Layouts and position

SettingOptionsNotes
LayoutBar, ModalBar spans the viewport edge; modal centers over a dimmed backdrop
Position (bar)Top, BottomBottom is the most common, least intrusive placement
Position (modal)Center, Bottom-left, Bottom-rightModal center maximizes attention for strict opt-in markets

Theme

Match the banner to your brand from Cookie Banner → Appearance:
  • Background, text, and border colors — full hex control.
  • Button styles — separate colors for Accept, Reject, and Preferences buttons.
  • Corner radius and shadow — align with your site’s design system.
Keep the Accept and Reject buttons visually equivalent. Several EU data protection authorities treat visually de-emphasized Reject buttons as a dark pattern.

Text and languages

All banner copy is editable: title, description, button labels, and the link to your cookie policy. Add translations under Cookie Banner → Languages; the banner auto-selects the visitor’s browser language and falls back to your default language.
No non-necessary cookies are set until the visitor gives affirmative consent. The banner blocks categorized scripts and cookies on page load. This is the required mode for EU/EEA and UK visitors.
Cookies run by default; the banner offers a clear opt-out (“Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information”). Suitable for California and other US opt-out jurisdictions.
You can combine modes with geo-targeting so EU visitors get opt-in behavior while US visitors get opt-out behavior from the same installation.

Buttons

The banner supports three actions, each individually toggleable:
  • Accept all — grants consent for every category.
  • Reject all — grants only the Necessary category.
  • Preferences — opens the preference center for granular, per-category choice.
Under GDPR, if you show an Accept button you must offer an equally accessible way to refuse. Disabling the Reject button while operating in opt-in mode is not compliant.

Live preview

The banner designer includes a live preview pane that renders your exact configuration — layout, colors, text, and language — as you edit. Switch preview between desktop and mobile widths before publishing.
